PRAYER VIGIL: In partnership with the stewardship committee, the Intercessory Prayer ministry will hold a prayer vigil Saturday, November 22. We believe prayer is vitally important in the life of the church. Please join us in a day of prayer for the leaders of our church, the stewardship of our resources, for joyful and generous giving to God’s Kingdom, and for God to multiply our gifts for his glory. If you would like to sign up to pray during one of our prayer vigil time slots there will be a sign-up sheet in the narthex. You are welcome to pray at any location you wish during your time slot.

DESSERT AUCTION! The Emerge College and Young Adult Group is hosting a dessert auction Sunday, November 2 and Sunday, November 9 to benefit the 2015 Guatemala Mission Team! How do I participate in a dessert auction, you might ask? 1. Choose your favorite dessert! 2. Bid on it. 3. Keep an eye on it through November 9 to make sure that you’re not outbid! 3. Wait for an email congratulating you on being a Dessert Auction Winner! 4. Drop off your donation at the winner’s table on Sunday, November 16. 5. Women’s Bible Study will start on Thursday September 4We meet from 9-11 a.m. each Thursday. This fall we will study Beth Moore’s “Children of the Day” an in-depth study of 1 and 2 Thessalonians. We are a group of women that love to laugh and cry together as we grow closer to one another while deepening our relationship with the Lord. All women are invited. Steve & Judy Drury); Hispanic Bible Study; a study on the book “Wounds That Heal: Carrying Your Hurts to the Cross” by Stephen Seamands (led by Patricia Taylor); a class on Methodism using the book “John Wesley: Holiness of Heart & Life” by Charles Yrigoven (led by Prudence Walz); a study of prayer using the book “Approaching God” by Steve Brown (to be led by Cyndi Downing, Molly Burlew, and Mike Maharrey); and at 7:30 the Emerge: College & Young Adult group will study 1st & 2nd Corinthians (led by Sarah Bailie). Note: It is recommended that you purchase the book for the class you will attend soon from Amazon.com, CBD.com; Cokesbury.com, or another reputable seller soon so you can come to class ready to go on September 3.

Wednesday Schedule: Meal at 6:00 p.m., classes start at 6:30 p.m. Classes end at 7:30 p.m. so those who want to may attend Choir practices (Chancel Choir & Bell Choir). Emerge: College & Young Adults also meet at 7:30 p.m. Childcare is provided.
